We are delighted to again be taking part in this wonderful fundraising campaign which, since 2012, has raised over £7 million for local charities and community groups.
The Hope Centre Manchester is run entirely by volunteers who give their time in the running of the Centre and support of its many events. All funds we raise through donations will enable us to continue to support local projects, such as young offenders, carers and local families for whom previous funding is no longer available.
Last year we raised nearly £1000 which has made a huge contribution in supporting our work with these local groups.
How do you make a donation to the Hope Centre?
If you can support the work of the Hope Centre in the local community, please visit our Grow Your Tenner webpage at www.localgiving.org/lightofhope between the 11th December and the 10th January to make your donation.
You can either make a one off donation by clicking ‘Donate Now’ on the page or you also have the option to make a regular monthly donation over a 12-month period by clicking ‘Give Monthly’.
This year the Grow your Tenner Fund is matching monthly donations for a full 6 months for
donators who set up a monthly donation for a year.
We are extremely grateful for all donations, both one-off and monthly in support of our work.
Please share with friends and family and many thanks in advance for any support you can offer.

Grow Your Tenner!
We are delighted to be part of this wonderful campaign that literally doubles donations made via the LocalGiving “Grow Your Tenner” programme.
Since 2012 the “Grow Your Tenner” campaign has raised over £6 million for local charities and community groups and in 2016 Grow Your Tenner raised over £1 million for more than 1,300 LocalGiving members.
Simply, for every donation of £10 we receive, the Grow Your Tenner fund doubles that donation to £20 and there is also an option for Gift Aid that would increase the donation further to £22.50. (Donations can be made up to £30 via the site, although only £10 of this is doubled.)
As you may be aware, the Hope Centre Manchester is run entirely by volunteers who give their time and support of its many of its events.
All funds we raise will enable us to continue to support local projects, such as young offenders, carers and local families for whom previous funding is no longer available.
If you can support the work of the Hope Centre in the local community, please visit our Grow Your Tenner webpage at: https://localgiving.org/charity/lightofhope/ and make your donation.

Meditation for Colin
As you may know Colin Hughes passed away last Saturday (peacefully at his sisters in Northumbria). His funeral is on 12th August at 2.30pm at Durham Crematorium.
For those unable to make the journey but who may wish to remember Colin, we are
having a meditation at the Hope Centre in his memory and to be of joy in celebration of a lovely guy who helped so many and brought a smile to so many faces.
You may not even know Colin’s second name! He came regularly to Meditation and introduced many of his friends and colleagues. He was often sporting a funny T shirt, Loud waistcoat, Bright/Jokey socks and always blessed us with his droll sense of humour. He was a great support and inspiration to many struggling and recovering from their difficulties.
If you wish to come to mediate with us please let me know (no need to book but it will help with catering if we know vague numbers).
PLEASE forward this information to anyone you know who may be interested to come and join in spirit with Colin’s friends and family up in the North East. Please also feel free to use your Social media to let Colin’s many friends know that we will be remembering him on 12 August.
